Job Overview
What do our Pest Control Consultants do? The primary purpose of this role is to sell the company's industry leading pest management services and products to new and existing residential customers, while maintaining a customer‑focused service to grow the business. You’ll be the face of our national brand in the local community, helping protect homes and families.
Responsibilities- Visually inspect homes for pests, pest harborage, pest entries, and other concerns.
- Based on assessment findings, sell pest control solutions and preventative maintenance for residential customers.
- Collaborate with the Customer Service Center, Inside Sales department, and Technicians to increase opportunities.
- Partner with Branch Manager to identify revenue streams with current base and service specialist engagement.
- Develop proposals to resolve existing pest issues and propose additional enhancements to pest household services.
- Complete Home diagram using Sales CRM to ensure clear understanding of customer home and challenges.
- Follow up on past proposals to close sales opportunities.
- Provide expert knowledge to new service installations to ensure job satisfaction.
- Complete daily activities and sales performance using the company sales CRM.
Employees must be able to move up to 10 lb. regularly and 11–20 lb. frequently, lift, carry, push, pull, or reposition objects, and navigate stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles. Physical activities include sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and maintaining balance on narrow, slippery or moving surfaces. Employees must be comfortable working around various pests and in confined, narrow spaces such as basements, crawl spaces, and attics.
Safe operation of a motor vehicle and maintenance of equipment and PPE, including OSHA‑compliant respirators, may be required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license from current state of residence.
- Strong social, customer service, and communication skills; experience or training in sales preferred.
- At least 1–2 years of pest technician or sales experience preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 100% of time within assigned territory.
