This is a full-time, on-site Comfort Advisor Commercial Sales Engineer / Commercial Sales Development role based in the Gainesville Metropolitan Area. The role involves identifying and developing commercial HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and refrigeration sales opportunities, including prospecting new clients and nurturing existing customer relationships. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing customer needs, preparing proposals and estimates, presenting solutions, and coordinating with internal technical and service teams to ensure projects are scoped accurately.
The position also includes tracking sales activities, maintaining detailed records in CRM or related tools, and following up consistently to move opportunities through the sales pipeline. The Comfort Advisor collaborates closely with operations, engineering, and service teams to deliver solutions that align with Comfort Temp’s quality standards and customer-focused values.
- Strong customer-facing skills including Customer Service and Customer Support to build trust and long-term relationships.
- Sales and Following Up skills to manage pipelines, close deals, and ensure consistent communication throughout the sales cycle.
- Commercial Management experience to understand commercial building systems, project requirements, and contract terms.
- Knowledge of or aptitude for mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration systems, with the ability to translate technical solutions into customer benefits.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting proposals and explaining complex concepts clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, project management, and service teams in an on-site environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in pricing, documentation and follow-through.
- Relevant experience in commercial HVAC, mechanical contracting, or building services sales; technical or business related education is a plus.
