Job DescriptionThe University of Florida, Department of Pediatrics, Neuroimaging – Developmental Network Neurobiology Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join an interdisciplinary team. The role involves medical image analysis, neuroimaging, and neuroscience projects, working on structural and functional MRI of developing children and various clinical conditions such as autism, traumatic brain injury, diabetes, and epilepsy. The successful candidate will help build large-scale models from brain MRIs and neurobehavioral data, harmonize public and private datasets (NDA/INDAR, HCP, ADNI, OASIS, ABCD, etc.),
and deploy these models for real‑world applications in developmental neuroscience.
$61,008 – $64,356 commensurate with experience
Minimum RequirementsPh.D. degree in an appropriate area of specialization.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in functional MRI and functional connectivity MRI (data acquisition, preprocessing, analysis).
- High‑dimensional computer science experience with data‑driven techniques (graph theory, ICA, machine learning).
- Familiarity with imaging modalities such as DTI and MEG, and multimodal integration.
- Proficiency with AFNI/SUMA, SPM, FSL, Free surfer, UNIX/LINUX environments, and programming languages (MATLAB, R, C++, JAVA, Python).
- Background in studying children, especially those with autism, or other clinical populations.
- Ph.D. in Neuroscience (preferred), Computer Science, or related Neurobiology field.
- Strong record of early‑career research and excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
