Overview
As a Security Officer Medical Patrol Driver in Gainesville, FL
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. This is a Part-Time Security Officer position with a driving component in a healthcare location, offering a flexible schedule and opportunities to explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform.

- Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas, assist with access control processes, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and observations in required reports and provide routine assistance to people on site with directions, information, and general support.
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Applicants must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Applicants must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
- Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Applicants must be able to restrain individuals when required.
- At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
