Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

• Assists with installing, repairing, and preventatively maintaining ceiling tiles and ceiling grids
• Assists with installing, repairing, and preventatively maintaining fixed classroom seating, windows, window frames, and window screens
• Assists with installing, repairing, and preventatively maintaining various types of flooring, vinyl and ceramic tiles, wall bases, and molding; assists with building counter tops
• Assists with installing, repairing, and preventatively maintaining metal and wood doors and door frames, mortise locks, hinges, exit devices, door closers, handicapped door operators, and other door hardware
• Assists with pouring, forming, and finishing concrete; laying block and brick; and repairing plaster
• Supports other trades and contractors; cleans/maintains shop and all related equipment
• Operates UF vehicle (truck)
• State of Florida Class E operator license (required)
• Criminal background check (required)
• Post-offer health assessment (required)

• Schedule may vary depending on location
• 40 hours per week
• Position considered as Essential Personnel as defined by UF Policy

Expected Salary: $17.00 Hourly

Knowledge: Beginner knowledge of safe work practices in maintenance and repair work.

Skills: Skill in using hand tools and equipment.
