WhatYou Will Do
- Be paid to learn and apprentice the Safelite way, through hands‑on and classroom training.
- Observe and assist in installing and repairing auto glass.
- Recalibrate automotive safety systems, troubleshoot and complete diagnostic testing.
- Provide additional services and products.
- Study and pass testing to become a Safelite‑certified Technician, demonstrating proficiency in installations and following taught techniques.
- Safely operate company and customer vehicles, company‑issued tools and chemicals throughout the workday.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
- Competitive weekly pay starting at $20.25/hour, increasing to $24/hour after training and certification.
- Earn $5 for each set of wiper blades added for customer safety.
- Potential to be promoted in your first year; career levels based on performance metrics.
- A benefits package valued at more than $10k, including a 401(k) plan with company matching, medical plans, paid time off, holidays, and volunteer days.
- Option to buy additional PTO or sell unused time up to 16 hours.
- Up to $5,250 annually in tuition reimbursement.
- Paid training and all the tools and resources needed to succeed.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (preferred).
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license; additional license(s) as required by law to operate a company vehicle.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend, and twist the body.
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with all federal, state and local laws.
- Maintain professionalism and passion for providing outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work with chemicals, including flammable ones, as required.
- Ability to work scheduled days with flexibility on start and end times.
- Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic tools for recalibrations.
- Problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills, independently and collaboratively.
- Read, write and interpret English language and technical directions.
- Communicate orally (via phone) and in writing (via computer).
- Adhere to company dress code and PPE policies.
- Maintain stable performance under pressure.
