Maintenance Technician

This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation in a clean, high-tech, and climate-controlled facility. The Maintenance Technician performs preventive maintenance, supports equipment calibration, and helps sustain a high standard of equipment performance to support critical product manufacturing.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance on production equipment in accordance with established schedules and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic equipment failures, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Order and maintain an organized inventory of components, tools, and spare replacement parts to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Assist in performing calibrations on production equipment and processes involving time, temperature, pressure, and other critical parameters.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to diagnose issues and complete repairs accurately.
  • Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, and test equipment safely and effectively during maintenance and repair activities.
  • Support mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems by identifying issues and performing necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Document maintenance activities clearly and accurately, including work performed, parts used, and equipment status.
  • Collaborate with production and other team members to minimize disruption to operations and improve equipment reliability.
  • Follow all safety procedures and best practices while working on equipment and within the facility.
Essential Skills
  • At least 4 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting experience with production or industrial equipment.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Proficiency in performing preventive maintenance and maintenance repairs on equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Skilled in using tools and test equipment required for maintenance and repair work.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving equipment issues efficiently.
  • Motivated, quick learner with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Trainable and willing to learn new systems, processes, and technologies.

  • Experience working with maintenance repair programs or processes.
  • Familiarity with calibrating equipment involving time, temperature, and pressure parameters.
  • Comfort working in a high-tech, clean, and climate-controlled production environment.
  • Strong communication skills for documenting work and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Work Environment

Maintenance work involves hands-on tasks with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using standard tools, test equipment, and reference materials such as blueprints and schematics.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gainesville, FL.

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $37.00/hr.
