Plumbing Journeyman

Southern Mechanical is looking for a skilled and dependable Plumbing Journeyman to join our team. This position is ideal for an experienced plumber who takes pride in their work, works well independently and with a team, and understands the unique demands of multi-family construction and service.

• $ 3 5 –$ 4 5 per hour, depending on experience

As a Plumbing Journeyman, you will be responsible for performing plumbing installations, repairs, maintenance, and service work for multi-family andcommercialcustomers.

• Perform plumbing installations, repairs, maintenance, and service calls
• Diagnose plumbing issues and determine appropriate repair solutions
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, piping, and related equipment
• Read and interpret plumbing plans, drawings, and specifications
• Ensure all work is completed accurately, safely, and in accordance with applicable codes and standards
• Communicate professionally with customers and explain plumbing issues and recommended solutions in easy-to-understand terms
• Build positive customer relationships and identify appropriate products and services based on customer needs
• Work closely with customer service representatives, dispatchers, and other team members to ensure a positive customer experience
• Train and mentor plumbing helpers and less-experienced team members
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Maintain an organized and properly stocked company vehicle
• Complete service documentation, paperwork, and job records accurately and on time
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 3–5+ years of plumbing experience preferred
• Journeyman plumbing experience required
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• EPA certification preferred/ required as applicable to the position
• OSHA 10 certification preferred
• Experience with multi-family plumbing construction or service is a plus
