Partnership for Strong Families, Inc. is seeking an Out-of-County Specialist to join our team. The Out-of-County Specialist is responsible for serving as the agency primary point of contact for out-of-county requests for home studies and supervision. The position is responsible for the coordination, tracking, reporting, and oversight of Out of County Services (OCS) for Partnership. This position reports to the Kinship Program Manager.

What

You’ll Do
  • Ensure all OCS requests have the required documentation as outlined in Statutes and/or policy.
  • Review all OCS requests for accuracy.
  • Assist and provides Technical Assistance and/or assist in provision of training to Case Management Agencies regarding the completion of OCS.
  • Collect and track data regarding the timeliness of compliance with incoming and/or outgoing request.
  • Assure accurate documentation of services provided; submits reports as required.
  • Track relevant data in the P-kids and FSFN systems.
What You Bring
  • Education:

    Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience:

    Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in the child welfare field or related social service field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certification:
    Certified as a Child Welfare Case Manager.
  • Possession of a valid, State of Florida driver’s license to operate the motor vehicle operated;
    Requirement exists at the time of hire and as a condition of continued employment.
The Ideal Candidate has
  • Knowledge of Florida’s child welfare policies, statutes, and administrative codes regarding services to dependent children.
  • Knowledge of social service resources in the counties served by PSF.
  • Knowledge of best practices in child welfare services.
  • Knowledge of basic computer programs including email, Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN), and Pkids.
  • Clear communication skills, both orally and in writing.
