Job Description

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking an intermediate-level AIUXDeveloper to join Applications, Development & Integrations (ADI), a unit within UFIT.

The AIUXDeveloper role blends full‑stack application development, AI‑driven feature integration, and user‑centered design to deliver innovative web and mobile experiences for the university community. The incumbent will work closely with product, engineering, and UX teams to translate business needs into high‑quality, accessible digital solutions.

  • Lead or contribute to the end‑to‑end software development lifecycle for enterprise‑grade web and cross‑platform mobile applications, translating requirements into technical designs and estimates
  • Design and implement AI‑enabled UI components, building reusable libraries and integrating with backend APIs (REST, GraphQL, gRPC, Web Socket)
  • Conduct UX design work: gather requirements, create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using tools such as Figma, Sketch, or AdobeXD, ensuring compliance with UF’s design system and WCAG
    2.1AA standards
  • Collaborate with data, AI, and platform engineers to embed AI models into the user experience and to prototype novel interactions
  • Perform code reviews, mentor junior developers and interns, and provide technical guidance on best practices, security, and accessibility
  • Troubleshoot production issues, support deployment pipelines (CI/CD), and maintain documentation for all deliverables
Exceptional Benefits

UF provides various leave programs based on an employee’s salary plan, including vacation, sick leave, holidays, personal leave days, and paid family leave. In addition to paid time off, the University of Florida offers a very competitive benefits package.

$110,000 - $130,000; commensurate based on education and experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong grasp of UX processes, including user‑centered design, usability testing, and rapid prototyping
  • Experience integrating AI/ML services via APIs and an understanding of AI‑driven product workflows
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills; ability to work in an agile, multi‑disciplinary environment
  • Experience with design tools (Figma, Sketch, Balsamiq) and prototyping of interactive flows.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG
