- Candidates must be at least 21 years or older.
- Candidate must hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license, and be able to obtain and maintain their Driver Qualification File.
- High School Diploma/GED and 5 years experience in overall repairs specifically with light and medium-duty truck repair. The right candidate will have a combination of both.
- Possess or able to obtain within 18 months of hire: ASE T8 Level certification, and EPA 609 certification.
- Candidate must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT physical prior to employment.
- Valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one prior to employment or within 72 hours of hire.
- Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
- OEM training and certifications are preferred.
- Performing certified DOT and Preventative Maintenance inspections.
- Performs maintenance and repair of different classes of vehicles or specialized vehicles by troubleshooting, complex hydraulic systems, diesel systems, gas systems, generators, electrical systems, hybrids, and onboard computer systems.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance: change oil, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, and inspect the vehicle for mechanical deficiencies.
- Maintain direct interaction with customers and display exceptional interpersonal skills while driving the service center’s performance with the highest integrity and trust.
- Independently manage parts inventory and equipment provided on company-issued service trucks and perform periodic reconciliation.
- Maintain and operate company-issued service vehicles, conduct safety checks, and pre-/post-trip inspections of vehicles.
- Diagnose, adjust, and repair various types of vehicle equipment including, but not limited to the following:
Electrical/Brake/Cooling Systems, Starters/Alternators, Air conditioning systems, Fan clutches, Engine electronics, Diesel steering systems, Engines (gas and diesel), Transmissions (manual and automatic), Clutches, Differentials, etc.
