Job Description Summary

The basic function of the driver is to operate several types of trucks/equipment. Main duty would be operating a roll‑off container truck.

The driver reports to and is directly accountable to the Equipment Manager.

• High School Diploma – required
• Valid CDL Class A and/or Class B Driver's License with clean driving record – required
• No required experience; at least 1 year of construction experience is preferred
• Ability to follow instructions, operate related equipment, judge distance and slopes, and make decisions based on standards
• Physical: able to stoop, bend, crouch, use limbs fully, see well, lift up to 50 lbs, with frequent lifting/carrying of objects up to 25 lbs
• Communicate, read, write in English – required

Work mainly outdoors; workdays vary with weather. Overtime may be required; time and a half for hours over 40 a week. Normal workday: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.

• Operate various types of construction related trucks.
• Deliver material & equipment to various locations.
• Be punctual.
• Assist warehouse crews when not driving/delivering.

• Complete equipment maintenance checklist at start of each day and before each trip.
• Maintain accurate and legible mileage log for vehicles operated.
• Complete all required delivery forms and turn them in to equipment manager each day.
• Report any equipment malfunctions/problems to equipment manager.
• Clean vehicles each week.
• Be at work on time every workday.
