Position Summary

The primary function of a delivery driver is to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies and Federal and State regulations, and deliver all freight undamaged while providing a world‑class customer service experience.

• Inspect truck/trailer for defects to ensure safe operation.
• Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload products at job sites.
• Deliver materials to assigned areas as directed by the customer, prioritizing personal safety and the safety of others.
• Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
• Report all accidents involving the driver or company equipment.
• Lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs. for loading/unloading.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL). Minimum Class B is required;
  Class A is strongly preferred.
• Clear three‑year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.

• Remain stationary while driving for 40% of the time.
• Lifting heavy building materials up to 80 lbs. for loading/unloading and frequently handling materials weighing up to 80 lbs.
• Operate commercial vehicle or boom vehicle, position oneself to unload materials from flatbed or boom.
• Judge distance while delivering materials and operating the boom.
• Communicate accurately with management and coworkers.
• Work outdoors while making deliveries.

• Prioritize job sites and deadlines.
• Manage stress related to customer deadlines.
• Multitask and receive information and directions.
• Communicate solutions promptly when problems occur.
• Demonstrate high sound judgment.
