OverviewHigh school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience. Appropriate coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Responsibilities- Issue maintenance parts and supplies to Facilities Services and other University department personnel, and ensure inventory maintenance is performed accurately.
- Assemble, review, place orders, and forward issue tickets and/or receiving documentation per established procedures to allow Facilities Services Accounting Department to verify material charges and bill or pay vendor invoices accordingly.
- Perform inspection and verification of deliveries made to Facilities Services Central Stores warehouse location, including prompt recording of permanent stock identification information, description, quantity, cost, etc. to ensure proper inventory accuracy in the physical inventory and online software.
- Periodically participate in physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy of records versus actual physical counts, and assist in resolving discrepancies.
- Organize and maintain orderly appearance of warehouse shelves, bins, and stock keeping locations.
- Operate a motor vehicle to provide delivery service of requested materials to other Facilities Services departments or pick up materials from various vendors.
- Perform other assigned duties as required by management.
Monday–Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Occasional overtime as required by management.
Compensation$17.00 hourly based on experience.
Required Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience. Appropriate coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic, filing, accountability, and record keeping procedures.
- Knowledge of common hardware, building materials, and janitorial use items.
- Ability to learn other specific use inventory items such as HVAC, electrical, and telecommunication equipment.
- Ability to use a desktop computer, mobile devices, and Facilities Services’ inventory software.
- Ability to issue, sort, verify and store supplies and equipment.
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
