Position SummaryIQ Fiber is seeking a Warehouse Technician to play a hands‑on role in keeping IQ Fiber's supply chain running accurately and efficiently. This role is responsible for receiving, organizing, and issuing materials — including Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) such as ONTs, Wi‑Fi gateways, and mesh units — and for ensuring that field technicians always have the equipment they need to serve customers.
A key part of this role is managing the full lifecycle of returned CPE: receiving returns, testing and refurbishing equipment, and returning serviceable units to inventory. This role works closely with field operations, inventory management, and procurement teams and requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a disciplined approach to warehouse organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Inspect, verify, and receive inbound materials into the warehouse, confirming quantities and condition against purchase orders; process all material transactions in the WMS (Net Suite/RF Smart), including receiving, issuing, and transfers.
- Restock and rotate materials using FIFO principles; conduct full physical inventory counts and participate in recurring cycle counts; proactively communicate material shortages to the team.
- Pick, package, and stage equipment for field technicians, fulfilling orders within 24 hours of request; create, edit, and monitor orders in the WMS to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment.
- Coordinate scheduling of pickups with freight carriers; identify, document, and resolve shipment and delivery errors before signing and returning the carrier copy.
- Receive and process returned CPE, logging returns accurately in the WMS; test returned equipment and move units through the appropriate refurbishment workflow, including cleaning, repair assessment, and cannibalization when warranted.
- Return serviceable CPE units to active inventory and document the disposition of unserviceable equipment; use hand tools and cleaning products as part of the refurbishment process.
- Manually load and unload deliveries and daily pickups safely and efficiently; operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks in accordance with safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and audit‑ready warehouse environment in accordance with SOPs; submit required reports accurately and on time.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with field teams, inventory management, and leadership on material status and operational needs.
- Perform occasional pickup, delivery, and loading/unloading of CPE and materials using company fleet vehicles.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or a related role.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and a satisfactory driving record for occasional material transport.
- Forklift certification required, or must be obtainable within 90 days of hire.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort learning new software systems; experience with Net Suite ERP and/or RF Smart inventory scanning preferred.
- Background in telecommunications, ISP, or technology hardware logistics preferred; experience with CPE handling, testing, or refurbishment and familiarity with FIFO and cycle count procedures a plus.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks.
