Senior Accounting Manager

A global, publicly traded manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join its Accounting Center of Excellence (CoE) and lead accounting operations across multiple business units. This is a highly visible leadership role that combines team leadership, technical accounting, financial reporting, SOX compliance, systems integration, and process improvement. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting leader who enjoys building teams, improving processes, and partnering across a complex global organization

• Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing mentorship, coaching, and career development
• Oversee key aspects of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes across multiple entities Review complex accounting areas including revenue recognition, inventory, intercompany transactions, accruals, leases, and manufacturing accounting
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and public company SOX requirements
• Partner with internal and external auditors to support audits, control testing, and remediation efforts
• Drive integration efforts for newly acquired businesses and support ERP and reporting system initiatives
• Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Shared Services, and operational leaders to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Lead process improvement and automation initiatives designed to enhance efficiency, standardization, and scalability

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA preferred
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and public company accounting
• Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls
• ERP experience (SAP, JDE, Oracle, or similar)
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
