Construction Inspector III Overview

We are hiring a Construction Inspector III to work on active roadway and bridge construction projects. The role involves performing field inspections, documenting progress, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and client requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
:

• The Construction Inspector III works on active roadway and bridge construction projects, both independently and assisting experienced inspectors on complex assignments.
• Prepares detailed and timely reports to document construction progress, inspection, and testing results.
• Records and reports daily forms per project requirements.
• Reviews all work for completeness and accuracy prior to submission.
• Maintains necessary records, measures field quantities, conducts field tests, and determines contractors' compliance with contract specifications.
• Submits accurate timesheets, mileage, and expense reports on time each week.
• Communicates effectively with clients, contractors, staff, and supervisors.
• Resolves problems at the lowest level.
• Performs field construction inspection and documentation on various commercial, municipal, institutional, and heavy highway and bridge projects.
• Reviews job site safety daily and takes immediate action to document and resolve issues.
• Understands and adheres to OSHA Safety Standards and corporate policies.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable industry standards and client requirements.

Education and/or

Skills Required:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a construction related field.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to understand construction plans, specifications, and procedures.
• Demonstrate basic math skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently.
• Work effectively as a team member and complete daily reports by hand and computer.

Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations

Required:

• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to pass and maintain required certifications.
