Key

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Visual Impairment (P12) teaching certificate, OR Special Education certificate with Visual Impairment endorsement
• Experience teaching or supporting students with visual impairments in school settings strongly preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt instruction and materials to meet individualized learning goals

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction and support for visually impaired students, tailoring lessons to individual needs across multiple school locations
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, staff, and families to ensure effective accommodations and accessibility
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and monitor student progress
• Provide consultative services and training to educational teams regarding best practices for visual impairment accessibility
• Assist in securing adaptive technology and learning materials
• Advocate for a supportive, inclusive environment that fosters student independence and success
