Field Ministry & Coaches Coordinator
The role of the Field Ministry & Coaches Coordinator is to integrate World Race programs into the long term ministry of Adventures' bases and strategic ministry partners. Through interactive planning with our bases and partners, the Host Development & Coaches Admin will ensure the successful development of various base field ministry expressions resulting in local churches planted, leaders trained, and programs successfully mobilized.
They will maintain and strengthen World Race connections with bases and ministry partners to establish a win-win arrangement by maintaining positive personal relationships with each host.
The Field Ministry & Coaches Coordinator will also assist the Field Discipleship Manager to oversee the implementation of strengthening the Coaching Program. They will advise and provide pastoral support to coaches where needed as well as assist administratively with through the processes of our Coaching Program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Field Ministry Partner Relations
Maintain relationships with Bases and Strategic Ministry Partners to ensure communication, mutual understanding, and up-to-date contextual issues related to program and field.
Determine budgets for food, lodging, transportation for mobilization programs.
Route Logistics
Create tools for hosts, squads, leaders, mentors to increase communication efficiency between all parties.
Upkeep the Adventures Route Calendar (ARC)
Send Team Evaluations surveys to the hosts to gather feedback.
Review the Host evaluation from the team to ensure we are reaching a win-win for all parties.
Development Plans
Work with Adventures Base and SMP's to create new Field Ministry Development Plans (FMDPs) for bases that need them.
Work with STM and LTM to find field ministry synergies across departments.
PVT Preparation
In connection with Parent Ministries decide on what projects to highlight on PVT's.
Work with Donor Development and Parent Ministries to articulate development plans and how PVT 'asks' can come in and be a part of it.
Set up regular meetings in preparation for upcoming PVT's.
Coaching Program Care & Administrator
Assist the Field Discipleship Manager with the goal of strengthening and empowering the Coaching Program.
Schedule the coaches travel and lodging needs for Training Camp and on campus debriefs.
Send updates and communications to our coaching network.
Assist in training coaches before and during Training Camp.
Assist with the oversight of the spiritual health of field leadership teams.
Pursue relationships with coaches and WR support staff to spiritually support, encourage, and call out spiritual gifts.
Assist the Field Discipleship Manager in giving discipleship instructions to coaches and WR support staff in a way that is consistent with Adventures in Missions' values and beliefs.
Pray for and with the leadership teams.
Develop a team of ministry partners to complete the fundraising goal. Through this process ministering to partners through prayer and teaching biblical truths is essential. (I Corinthians 9:14, Philippians 4:17) Training for this located port.adventures.org
Competencies
Required:
Prior involvement with the World Race program is desired but not required.
Professing Christian with established record of high Christian character, integrity, servant leadership, maturity, and a positive attitude
Character and Integrity – must have strong Christian moral principles, be trustworthy, honest, fair, and display the Fruit of the Spirit in both word and action
Servant leadership – must lead as Christ did with humility, considering their needs above your own and making it your priority to improve those you serve
Maturity – must be strong spiritually, responding appropriately with respect to the time and place of every situation
Positive attitude – must always be willing to do your best with what is asked of you
Demonstrates emotional and spiritual health that manifests itself in authority, confidence and the ability to lead others into the same.
Evidence of discipleship fruit in their life.
Understand and embrace the core values, culture, and ministry of Adventures in Missions and demonstrates a passion to be a part of and propel its future.
Has the desire and skills (written, verbal and interpersonal skills) to work in a collaborative and intergenerational environment with coaches, SQLs, and AIM leaders that values participant leadership.
Able to influence a broad range of people and effectively drive them toward a common goal in Training, Launch, and Debrief environments.
The flexibility to meet shifting needs and willingness to work flexible hours. Will do "whatever it takes".
