Teacher Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Gainesville, GA

A contract opportunity is available for a skilled educator dedicated to supporting deaf and hard of hearing learners across multiple school locations in the Gainesville, GA area. This part‑time position begins July 27th, 2026, and continues through May 25th, 2027, offering approximately 20 hours per week as you work closely with students, families, and fellow educators.

• Hold a valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in Special Education Deaf Education (P12), or
• Hold a Georgia Teaching Certificate in Special Education General Curriculum (P12) with a Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement
• Demonstrated experience or strong interest in teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to accommodate individual learning needs

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with hearing loss
• Collaborate with general education staff to ensure accessibility and inclusion
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting plans as needed
• Engage with families to facilitate student success inside and outside of the classroom
• Foster a welcoming, empowering learning environment for all students
