Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications
- Strong bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish) to effectively support community outreach.

Position Summary
- This position is based in Hall County and is responsible for paraprofessional work under the supervision and direction of County Extension Agents/Supervisors. This incumbent provides paraprofessional work with County Extension Educator/Agents in a food and nutrition education program. Plans, organizes, schedules, and conducts nutrition and food safety classes for limited resource clients. Prepares and conducts food demonstrations for group classes.

Work is performed under general supervision.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
- Ability to learn basic food preparation skills. Strong communication skills and experience interacting with diverse groups of people. Ability to lead groups effectively

Physical Demands
- Stand for long periods to effectively present program to attendees. Lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Speak effectively to audiences without amplification. Effectively use kitchen tools including knives, spoons, blenders, choppers, etc. Driving as needed to perform job duties.
