Part-Time Faculty Position
UNG School of Communication, Film, & Theatre seeks part-time faculty to teach costume practicum and costume construction classes for current theatre majors. The practicum courses would cover implementing aspects of our mainstage costume designs and teaching/supervising practicum students who accompany you in the shop. Additionally, we seek someone to teach our costume construction class, which provides a basic understanding of the technical skills and tools required for a theatrical costume technician.
It includes hand sewing methods, use of a sewing machine, how to read and use a pattern, and a basic understanding of fabrics.
