We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Project Engineer to support the planning, design, and execution of land and site development projects across Georgia. This role will work closely with Project Managers and Senior Engineers to deliver high‑quality engineering solutions for commercial, residential, and mixed‑use developments.
Job Type Full‑time
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and support the design of site development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management systems
- Develop engineering plans, calculations, reports, and specifications
- Utilize Civil 3D and related tools to produce site layouts, profiles, and construction documents
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
- Assist Project Managers with project coordination, scheduling, and deliverables
- Support preparation of cost estimates, scopes, and project documentation
- Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants (surveyors, geotechnical, environmental, etc.)
- Participate in design reviews and quality assurance/quality control processes
- Assist with permit applications and approvals across Georgia municipalities and counties
- Support erosion control, land disturbance (LDP), and NPDES permitting submittals
- Provide support during construction, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and assisting with field inspections
- Coordinate with contractors and clients to address design‑related issues
- Support project closeout documentation
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 3–7 years of experience in land and site development engineering
- Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification strongly preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Experience with grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater design
- Familiarity with Georgia permitting processes (EPD, local jurisdictions, erosion control)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
