Our client has just opened a brand-new, massive, state-of-the-art facility in Gainesville, GA, and they are moving aggressively to fill four open Controls Engineering seats (2 Junior, 2 Senior).

Who We Are Looking For
We are actively hiring for four distinct openings across two experience levels:
Senior Controls Engineer (2 Openings)
Experience:
4.5+ years of dedicated controls engineering/PLC programming.
Background:
Heavy preference for candidates coming out of the automotive or complex manufacturing industries (e.g., ZF, Hitachi, Toyota environments).
Stability:
We are looking for a demonstrated track record of stability (e.g., 1-2 roles lasting 3+ years in your recent work history).
Junior Controls Engineer (2 Openings)
Experience:
Recent graduates or junior engineers with foundational, hands-on project experience.
Background:
Must have relevant internship, co-op, or intensive capstone project experience working directly with Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs.
Core Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and heavily optimize industrial control systems (ICS), operational procedures, and maintenance protocols.
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting manufacturing, engineering, IT, and maintenance teams on ICS and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) implementations.
Create and troubleshoot PLC programs from scratch (ladder logic).
Read, interpret, and create detailed electrical drawings.
Manage project timelines, budgets, vendor coordination, and team collaboration for automation upgrades.
Develop manufacturing control solutions focused heavily on operator safety, high productivity, and strict quality improvements.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen projects, workflow enhancements, and process optimization.
The Technical Arsenal
Core PLCs:
Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley (Compact Logix/Control Logix), Siemens, and VFDs.
Rockwell Software:
Studio 5000, RSLogix 5000/500, Factory Talk View Studio, Connected Components Workbench.
Safety & Sensors:
Experience with Keyence safety devices (SV scanners, GL light curtains).
Additional Platforms:
Experience with Mitsubishi GX Works2 is highly preferred.
Design/Drafting:
Proficiency in Autodesk software (AutoCAD Electrical, Inventor).
MES Exposure:
Familiarity with automated data collection, visualization, and manufacturing efficiency/quality monitoring systems.
Requirements & Working Conditions
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Software Development, or IT preferred. (Highly experienced candidates without a degree but possessing strong intangibles and a proven track record will be considered).
Communication:
Exceptional verbal communication is a hard requirement. This is a brand-new, loud, fast-paced shop floor—you must be able to communicate effectively and clearly with cross-functional teams in a noisy environment.
Environment: 100% onsite. Ability to stand/walk throughout the shop floor, operate tools, work in varying temperatures, and perform desk-based design tasks as needed.
