We’re looking for an experienced Licensed Electrical Engineer (P.E.) to build and lead our growing engineering department. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys designing electrical systems, improving processes, mentoring others, and shaping how a team operates.
You’ll lead electrical design for commercial and industrial construction projects while helping establish department standards, workflows, and a high-performing team.
What You’ll Do- Lead and grow the electrical engineering team through mentoring, delegation, and process development.
- Design electrical systems for commercial and industrial facilities, including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, generators, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
- Prepare construction documents, specifications, load calculations, and engineering reports.
- Perform short-circuit, arc-flash, and coordination studies.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, estimators, project managers, field teams, and contractors throughout project delivery.
- Support construction activities by reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and making occasional site visits.
- Develop design standards, KPIs, checklists, and scalable project-delivery processes.
- Coordinate with our automation and software teams on tools, Revit/Excel assets, and UL 508A control-panel-related initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Active Professional Engineer license. Reciprocal licensure is acceptable at hire, with Georgia licensure obtained within 30 days.
- 5+ years of electrical engineering experience on commercial or industrial MEP construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical building systems, NEC/NFPA standards, and applicable building and energy codes.
- Proficiency in Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud/Forma, and SKM Power Tools
. - Proven ability to lead technical work, mentor team members, improve processes, and communicate effectively across disciplines.
- Spanish bilingual skills and familiarity with NFPA 70E are a plus, but not required.
- $10,000–$12,000 sign-on bonus or relocation assistance.
