Duties The primary purpose of this position is:
As an Air Reserve Technician (ART) enlisted member to perform NAF management duties for readiness programs and be a C2 representative for the NAF Commander. Trains other reservists as required.
* Performs duties for Numbered Air Force (NAF) development and management of the Air Force Reserve Readiness Reporting Program.
* Implements HQ AFRC Readiness Reporting training programs to ensure NAF staff, wing readiness managers and unit monitors and commanders, are trained and proficient on readiness reporting policies and procedures.
* Works as liaison between headquarters' readiness office and wing readiness program managers.
* Works as liaison between headquarters' command center, 1C3 functional office and wing/group command and control (C2) program managers. Requirements Conditions of employment
* Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
* Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.

* Must be a current member of the AF Reserve or willing/qualified to join

* Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: comprehensive knowledge of readiness database systems and tools especially as they apply to war/contingency/mobility planning and execution operations concept, principles, directives and methodology. Skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to gather, analyze, and evaluate plans, program management, communications, and information engineering throughout various organizational structures.
Note:
Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. OR
EDUCATION:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.M., if related. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND
EDUCATION:
Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the grade levels specified in the table, and may be computed by first determining the applicant's total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determining the applicant's education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level;
and then adding the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grades GS-9 and GS-11. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-09 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
