Job Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator / Generalist supports plant‑level HR operations by managing recruitment, onboarding, employee records, compliance processes, and employee relations support for hourly and salaried team members. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate HR documentation, administering key HR programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws, and serving as a primary point of contact for employees visiting the HR office.

The role plays a critical part in supporting staffing needs, employee engagement, and overall workforce compliance within a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

A high school diploma is required; some college coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is highly preferred. A minimum of one year of prior human resources experience is required, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. The candidate must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish and able to speak, read, and write effectively in both languages.

Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications and HRIS systems, is required. The position requires excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and respond to issues promptly and professionally.

Preferred Qualifications

An associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Experience with applicant tracking systems, electronic onboarding platforms, payroll systems, and attendance tracking programs is preferred. Prior experience supporting employee relations investigations and compliance audits is beneficial.

The Human Resources Coordinator / Generalist manages recruitment, selection, and placement processes for hourly production employees and supports salaried recruitment as needed. The role maintains and updates facility staffing reports and ensures timely completion of the full I‑9 employment verification process in compliance with federal regulations. The position oversees new employee data entry, conducts new hire orientation sessions, and manages the entire onboarding process to ensure compliance and positive employee integration.
