Job SummaryThe IT Systems Engineer III is responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining the enterprise’s systems infrastructure across multiple sites for Soules Foods. This role ensures reliability, security, and continuous improvement of IT systems, proactively resolving issues to minimize business disruptions.
Qualifications- Proficiency in virtualization (VMWare or equivalent), AWS, and Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with Active Directory, Exchange, Teams, Office 365, and Microsoft services.
- Skilled in scripting and automation (Power Shell or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of domain controllers, DNS/DHCP, authentication, OU design, replication, Group Policy, and security solutions.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Familiarity with hardware platforms, networking protocols, change control processes, and help‑desk ticketing systems.
- Relevant IT certifications (Microsoft, Linux, or network‑related) are advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, system administration, or a related field, or at least 5 years of equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of IT infrastructure system administration experience in a multi‑data center environment supporting organizations with 500+ employees.
- Maintain, configure, and ensure reliable operation of computer systems, networked servers, and virtualization environments.
- Install and upgrade hardware and software, manage virtual servers, and automate processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues, document solutions, and prioritize problem resolution.
- Provide technical documentation for IT infrastructure planning and upgrades.
- Perform regular backups and implement disaster recovery, failover, and security strategies.
- Monitor systems and infrastructure to ensure high availability.
- Participate in the design, architecture, implementation, and maintenance of technology projects.
- Stay current with technology trends and recommend best practices for improvements.
- May work outside regular hours for service disruptions or scheduled maintenance.
This job is carried out in a professional office setting and involves using standard office equipment like laptops, desk phones, and smartphones. Regular visits to production facilities may also be required. During those visits, the employee is occasionally exposed to cold and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, cold temperatures, electrical shock and vibration risks. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
