We are seeking a motivated Assistant Storekeeper to support warehouse and materials management operations across multiple utility locations in the Northeast Georgia Region. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with up to 5 years of experience who are physically capable, safety-conscious, and ready to work in a hands-on environment.

• Perform general warehouse and yard clean-up duties

• Manage trash disposal and assist with organizing materials

• Load and unload equipment using forklifts (GPC forklift training and certification required)

• Prepare materials for shipment to the GPC Material Distribution Center (Forest Park, GA)

• Operate power tools, cutting tools, and blowers

• Conduct weekly/monthly inventory audits and maintain accurate inventory records

• Collaborate with Metering, Power Delivery, and Supply Chain teams

• Utilize material tracking and ordering software

• Assist with preparing and organizing delivery documentation

• Support storm restoration logistics and materials handling at assigned sites as needed

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds

• Willingness and ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation

• Ability to travel between the following operating headquarters:

  • Gainesville Op HQ (2294 Skelton Road, Gainesville, GA)

  • Cornelia Op HQ (1292 Hwy 441 Bypass, Cornelia, GA)

  • Clayton Op HQ (324 John Beck Dockins Rd, Rabun Gap, GA)

  • Other sites in Athens and Hartwell as needed

• Forklift Operator Certification required (GPC training provided; must pass certification exam with 70%+)

• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn inventory software

• Mileage reimbursement provided per Federal Mileage Rate for approved travel

• Occasional support of storm restoration operations across the Northeast Region
