Housekeeper, Maintenance​/Cleaning

Terra Bella Senior Living is the proud operator of more than 30 senior living communities across the Carolinas, Virginia, Kentucky, Georgia, and Tennessee, offering a range of living and care options including Active Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care and short-term Respite Care.

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and comfort in our Gardens of Gainesville community.

• Perform cleaning duties according to schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) in assigned areas such as apartment homes, common areas, lounges and offices.
• Sweep, dust, mops floors and stairways; spot clean and vacuum floors, rugs, carpets and runners, rotating runners in hallways and entryways.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and polishes lavatory, shower and sink fixtures, and facilities; stocks dispensers as necessary.
• Scrubs bath and shower room tiles, woodwork, window frames, and sills.
• Maintain equipment and materials needed for work in a clean and orderly condition.
• Collect trash and refuse from work areas and place in designated pick-up areas.
• Collect, clean and redistribute community laundry.
• Maintain the commercial laundry in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition.
• Store cleaning chemicals securely when not in use.
• Remove cords, carts, equipment and hazards from walkways, keeping exits clear and complying with fire codes.
• Report needed repairs, supplies and equipment to the Lead Housekeeper.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language of the residents.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Demonstrated interest in working with a senior population.
• Interacts with guests, residents, and staff in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Regularly stands, walks, uses hands, fingers, and arms; climbs or balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls as needed; occasionally sits.
• Regularly lifts or moves up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Requires close vision and color vision.
