Practice Manager at Animal Emergency of Gainesville
We’re seeking a dynamic leader who is passionate about building great teams, creating exceptional client experiences, and driving operational excellence. If you’re energized by making an impact and helping a hospital reach its full potential, we’d love to meet you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Management – supervise and lead all practice staff, including veterinary technicians, receptionists, and support staff. Responsible for recruitment, record‑keeping, onboarding, training, and performance management. Develop and optimize staff schedules that align with patient needs while remaining within labor cost budgets. Foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Financial Management – oversee budgeting, billing and expense management. Review reports, develop action plans, collaborate with partners to set and achieve financial goals, ensure accurate billing and timely payments, and monitor accounts receivable and collections.
- Client Relations – build meaningful connections with clients by providing exceptional customer service that exceeds expectations. Monitor client reviews, address inquiries and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Operations Management – ensure smooth daily operations: inventory, scheduling, office supplies, equipment maintenance. Implement and refine policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
- Marketing, Business Development & Community Relations – execute marketing strategies to attract and retain clients, oversee social media, website content, and other marketing materials, and expand the hospital’s presence through events and outreach.
- Compliance & Regulatory Adherence – ensure compliance with veterinary regulatory agencies, OSHA requirements, health, safety and labor laws. Oversee record‑keeping and client/patient databases for accuracy and confidentiality.
- Technology & Software Management – train staff in practice technology and collaborate with IT support to address needs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3‑5 years of managerial experience, preferably in veterinary or healthcare settings.
- Preferred: CVPM, CVBL, or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field.
- Experience in P&L management and financial analysis.
Working Conditions:
Full‑time position with evening, overnight and/or weekend hours as needed. Fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Occasional lifting and physical tasks may be required.
