Key Responsibilities
- Independently plan and perform maintenance, repair, and modification of complex equipment while mentoring and supporting junior technicians.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, including disassembly, repair, and reassembly of machinery.
- Maintain and service conveyors, paint systems, and chemical processing equipment with minimal supervision.
- Interpret sketches, technical drawings, schematics, and written instructions to perform work and recommend solutions.
- Support skill development and knowledge transfer within the maintenance team.
- Apply and interpret a wide range of technical instructions and specifications.
- Perform equipment installations (air, gas, and rigging systems) independently.
- Conduct basic electrical repairs and calculations, including Watts, Volts, Amps, Ohms, and load requirements.
- Demonstrate foundational knowledge of PLCs and automated systems.
- Execute preventative maintenance on plant support systems, including lasers and robotic equipment where applicable.
- Communicate technical issues and solutions effectively in team and group environments.
- Obtain and maintain certifications for powered industrial vehicles and overhead cranes.
- Lead 5S housekeeping audits to ensure workplace organization and compliance.
- Support and uphold ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards and initiatives.
- Perform special projects and other assigned duties as needed.
- High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong expertise in mechanical systems, schematics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, including start/stop circuits, relays, and motor starters.
- Ability to perform electrical load calculations.
- Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain certification for powered industrial vehicles and overhead crane operation within 30 days of hire.
- Associate degree or diploma in Industrial Technology, Mechanical Systems, or a related field.
- Familiarity with NFPA and NEC standards and regulations.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or developing less experienced team members.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in extreme heat and cold conditions.
- Stand and remain active for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift).
- Use hands to operate tools and equipment; reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Ability to communicate clearly (speak and hear).
- Occasionally lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
- Visual capabilities must include close vision, distance vision, peripheral awareness, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
