Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Position Summary: Repairs all mechanical breakdowns, performs PMs, installs equipment and performs general maintenance duties for ride dynamics products (primarily off‑road vehicles and trucks).
Position Responsibilities- Use an electrical meter for basics such as checking voltage and ohms.
- Wire in single‑phase motors, receptacles and sensors.
- Knowledge of mechanical/electrical repair on CNC equipment.
- Identify and repair pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
- Apply troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Read part manuals, electrical and mechanical schematics, assembly instructions and troubleshooting guides.
- Familiarity with operating and setting up CNC equipment.
- Assist in installing new equipment under engineering direction.
- Provide moderate troubleshooting on all types of production equipment for worn/misaligned tooling and mechanical failures.
- Use CMMS for work orders.
- Safely drive a forklift carrying machinery and heavy loads.
- Ensure all safety requirements are followed at all times.
- Operate a manual mill and lathe with basic skills.
- Maintain a minimum of 80% compliance rate on assigned PMs.
- Follow LOTO procedures at all times.
- Demonstrate communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- CMMS must log at least 80% of all worked hours in PMs, planned and unplanned work orders for no less than three consecutive months.
- Use all types of gauges – pressure, calipers, depth, etc.
- Familiar with PLC‑based controller/interface machinery.
- Meet demanding deadlines.
- Work independently and as a team member to accomplish objectives.
- Be a proficient FOX Level2 Maintenance Technician.
- Education: High school diploma or manufacturer OEM training.
- Experience: 2+ years in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated industrial maintenance skills; must have CNC equipment mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing environment: lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time.
- Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer.
