Terminal Operator I
Position: full-time Terminal Operator I at our Gainesville, GA facility.
Job Summary:
entry-level, safety‑sensitive operations position focused on general functions of the terminal. Reports to the Terminal Manager and interfaces with all employees within the terminal, as well as customers, vendors and employees from other parts of the company.
- Adhere to all safety requirements and procedures.
- Able to work independently (self‑driven) and as a team player.
- Maintain customer, supplier and company confidentiality.
- Maintain regular hours by being present, on time and producing professional, error‑free work.
- Receive and hook up rail cars.
- Connect steam and unloading hoses.
- Collect and record tank temperatures and measurements. Record information appropriately.
- Have a working knowledge of and successfully operate Order Weigh system.
- Perform routine yard maintenance.
- Assist with maintenance of equipment.
- Pull product samples upon request.
- Adhere to all DOT and OSHA requirements.
- Maintain excellent attendance and timeliness.
- Adhere to all applicable company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe and organized work area.
- Other duties as required by Terminal Manager.
- Basic computer skills and PC knowledge.
- High school diploma/GED.
- Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card (where applicable).
- Be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time on concrete floors and outside surfaces.
- Able to work outside in varying weather conditions, varying cold, hot & humid temperatures.
- Manual dexterity; ability to reach; able to bend and move with agility.
- Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs.
