Job Overview
A rapidly growing fabrication client in Gainesville, GA is seeking a skilled Tube Laser Operator to join their night‑shift production team. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented operator who can run tube‑cutting laser equipment safely, accurately, and efficiently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Operate and monitor tube laser cutting machines to produce precision?cut metal components
- Load, unload, and secure tubing materials according to job specifications
- Set up machine parameters, adjust tooling, and verify correct cutting programs
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and adherence to fabrication drawings
- Perform basic machine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting
- Read and interpret blueprints, cut lists, and fabrication instructions
- Maintain accurate production records and follow all shop documentation procedures
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, welders, and fabrication staff to meet nightly production goals
- Follow all safety protocols, including PPE, lockout/tagout, and equipment handling
- Support continuous improvement efforts and maintain a clean, organized work area
Working hours:
4:00 PM – 2:00 AM.
Night Shift (must train on days);
Monday‑Thursday; overtime available based on production demand.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Standing, bending, and moving for extended periods
- Working in a fabrication shop environment with heat, noise, and metalwork
- Experience with BLM, Trumpf, or similar tube laser systems
- Background in metal fabrication or CNC laser cutting
No Degree Required.
Experience1–4 years.
Qualifications- 1 to 2 years of experience operating laser cutting equipment (tube laser experience preferred)
- Good understanding of fabrication processes, metal types, and cutting tolerances
- Ability to read blueprints, tape measures, and technical drawings accurately
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with automated machinery
- Basic computer skills for machine programming and job tracking
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently on night shift
