Job Summary

The Bagger Operator is responsible for the operation and performance of automated packaging machines on their assigned shift. This role ensures that finished products are accurately and efficiently bagged or wrapped following quality and safety standards. The operator works closely with the Maintenance and Pack Out teams to perform machine changeovers, monitor product weights, complete required documentation to accurately calculate run time, efficiencies, and cases produced , follow product specifications, inspect equipment to ensure it is clean, and report any equipment issues.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate and troubleshoot machinery , s trong attention to detail and accuracy in completing documentation , b asic math and reading skills , excellent attendance , and strong communication and interpersonal skills . Must have the w illingness to work overtime, including weekends , as needed .

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating packaging or food processing equipment , f amiliarity with GMP, e xperience with metal detection or x-ray inspection systems , and food safety compliance , s trong focus , time management , organizational skills , and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment .

Work Environment

The Bagger Operator job takes place on the production floor , w hich involves a fast-paced setting , being exposed to food products while performing tasks , requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, expos ure to cold temperature zones (40 F – 45 F ) , food ingredients, packaging materials, and moderate noise levels. Th is job requires the ability to work in a team-oriented environment and quick problem-solving.

Always w earing PPE is required to follow the company’s Safety and Food Safety Polices.

Physical Demands

The position requires regular standing, walking, bending, climbing stairs for long periods (8+ hours) , and lifting (up to 50 lbs. ) Use their hands for tasks, reach with their arms, communicate verbally , and be able to operate and monitor machinery for prolonged periods . Close, distance, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
