Night-Shift Overview

Step onto the floor at 6:00 PM and take ownership of precision production through the night. You’ll set up, run, and care for CNC equipment to transform engineering specifications into flawless components—safely, efficiently, and to exacting standards.

Work Schedule
  • Night Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (or as required)
  • Overtime as needed
A Night in the Role
  • Configure and operate CNC lathes, mills, and multi-axis machines to launch production runs.
  • Interpret engineering prints, technical drawings, and work instructions to plan each job.
  • Select the right tooling, fixtures, and materials to meet job requirements.
  • Dial in offsets and adjust speeds/feeds to maintain tight tolerances throughout the run.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges; verify all parts meet specs.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues; escalation complex problems when needed.
  • Record production and inspection data accurately and on time.
  • Handle routine machine maintenance and promptly report equipment concerns.
  • Follow all safety procedures and use PPE correctly.
  • Keep your cell and surrounding area clean and organized.
  • Coordinate handoffs and communicate clearly with supervisors and other shifts.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and drive production efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
  • Solid understanding of CNC machining processes and tooling.
  • Blueprint and GD&T literacy (preferred).
  • Hands-on skill with setups, offsets, and tool changes.
  • Proven ability to hold tight tolerances in a production setting.
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
  • Self-directed and dependable while working independently on the night shift.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-5 years of CNC machining experience preferred.
  • Experience with CNC lathes and/or mills required.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc, Haas, or similar controls preferred.
  • Manual machining experience is a plus.
