Description
Produces cut parts by programming, setting up, and operating a (CNC/Manual)
Maintaining quality and safety standards at the saw machine at all times
Maintain equipment and supplies, keep accurate records
- Complete work travelers by following operation procedure and accurately Cutting parts per work instructions and drawings.
- Correctly clock all time associated with set up and cutting of parts to the correct job and Operation.
- Inspect parts per inspection procedure and accurately fill out check sheets per operation procedure.
- Accurately fill out and initial all travelers for production quantities, Scrap Quantities and material used.
- Keep machines in good working condition, preventative maintenance schedule followed, proper coolant levels, condition of components, Tools and cleanliness utilized through the Daily check procedure and PM procedures.
- Maintain and organize material racks and carts for future or upcoming jobs.
- Keep floor dry and area clean during cut cycle times.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
- Assist machine shop in other functions when caught up on work travelers (Organizing racks, Cleaning Tooling).
- Sweeping, PMing, Machine shop CNC training (Help other Operators if needed).
- Assist with machine maintenance when necessary.
Performs other related duties/projects as assigned
Requirements- Proficient with operation of Saw machines Setup and controls.
- Proficient with various gages and measuring devices.
- Ability to read and interpret prints or drawings.
- Strong understanding of dimensions and tolerances.
- Strong understanding of material properties.
- Attentive to all safety precautions and procedures when operating machines.
