Job Summary

Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Applies a broad knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures for competent delivery of care.

• Licensed as an LPN in the State of Georgia.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• High School Diploma or GED.

• Minimum of two (2) years experience.

• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Successful completion of nursing skills checklist.

• Assess the patient’s physical and emotional needs and provide appropriate care and intervention.
• Perform the initial assessment upon patient’s arrival and develop a plan of care in collaboration with the Physician.
• Perform ongoing assessment and communicate assessment and plan of care through written documentation and verbal reports.
• Document nursing interventions and implement Physician’s orders in a timely manner.
• Correctly administer and document medication regimen.
• Identify and implement infection control and safety practices.
• Organize patient care and demonstrate ability to set priorities by addressing acute needs first and implementing Physician’s orders within appropriate time frame.
• Serve as a clinical resource for MOAs and other non-licensed staff.
• Comply with network drills, CPR requirements, and any other network or health system requirements.
• Maintain current skills checklist and assist with performing skills checklists on other employees.
• Comply with a minimum of six hours continuing education within the review year.
• Serve as a preceptor to nursing students or new nursing staff members or staff members needing to cross‑train to learn basic nursing duties.
• Cross‑train if necessary to perform basic radiological and laboratory functions.
• Conduct at least one clinically related in‑service for center staff during the review year.
