A growing manufacturing company in Gainesville is seeking a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Safety Coordinator to help lead and strengthen its workplace safety culture. This is a highly visible, hands‑on position for someone who enjoys building relationships, coaching employees, and partnering with operations to create a safe and compliant work environment.
This is not a desk job. The successful candidate will spend the majority of each day on the production floor interacting with employees, conducting safety training, investigating incidents, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
What You'll Do- Spend the majority of your day on the manufacturing floor engaging with employees and promoting safe work practices.
- Conduct routine safety inspections, observations, and audits to proactively identify workplace hazards.
- Lead new hire safety orientation, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training in both English and Spanish.
- Investigate workplace injuries, incidents, and near misses while completing root‑cause analyses and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 logs while ensuring OSHA compliance.
- Partner with Production, Maintenance, HR, and leadership to improve workplace safety and employee engagement.
- Administer basic first aid for minor workplace injuries and assist with workers' compensation documentation and follow‑up.
- Maintain safety documentation, inspection reports, training records, and compliance files.
- Coordinate safety initiatives including PPE, Lockout/Tagout, Hazard Communication, Forklift Safety, Fire Prevention, Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection, and Emergency Preparedness.
- Conduct routine air quality and noise monitoring.
- Support HR with employee communications, events, documentation, and administrative projects.
- Promote a positive safety culture built on coaching, accountability, teamwork, and trust.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish
. - Minimum three years of manufacturing safety experience
. - Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience conducting incident investigations and root‑cause analyses.
- Experience maintaining OSHA logs.
- Comfortable spending most of the workday on the production floor.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Experience managing Workers' Compensation claims.
- Experience with JJ Keller or other safety management software.
- Experience leading safety culture initiatives.

Frequent walking and standing throughout the workday are required.

Occasional schedule flexibility is required to support production operations, training, and safety initiatives.
