What You'll Do

As the Safety Coordinator, you'll serve as a trusted resource for employees and leaders while championing workplace safety initiatives and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and facility walkthroughs to identify hazards and ensure compliance
  • Partner with supervisors and managers to improve safety performance and employee engagement
  • Lead safety training programs, orientations, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns
  • Investigate workplace incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Analyze incident trends, near misses, and safety data to proactively reduce risk
  • Maintain OSHA logs, incident reports, training records, and compliance documentation
  • Manage workers' compensation claims and coordinate communication with employees and carriers
  • Perform safety audits, inspections, and behavioral observations
  • Support compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards
  • Communicate safety updates and best practices throughout the organization
  • Administer and track safety-related programs, including PPE, safety equipment, and employee wellness initiatives
  • Provide first aid support and coordinate medical treatment when necessary
  • Collaborate with HR on employee programs, access control, timekeeping systems, and special projects
  • Foster a culture where safety is everyone's responsibility
Required Qualifications
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • 3+ years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Experience managing workers' compensation claims and safety reporting metrics
