Bilingual Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator - Manufacturing
Are you a hands-on Manufacturing Safety professional who thrives on the production floor rather than behind a desk?
We're seeking an experienced Bilingual Manufacturing Safety Coordinator to lead workplace safety initiatives, coach employees, and help build a proactive safety culture in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a highly visible role where you'll partner with Plant Leadership, HR, Operations, Maintenance, and Production to keep employees safe while supporting operational excellence.

What You'll Do- Spend the majority of your day on the manufacturing floor interacting with employees and promoting safe work practices.
- Lead safety training, toolbox talks, and new hire orientation in both English and Spanish.
- Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
- Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and near misses, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain OSHA compliance, safety documentation, and regulatory records.
- Partner with Plant Leadership, HR, Maintenance, and Operations to strengthen the company's safety culture.
- Coach employees and supervisors on safe work practices and accountability.
- Manage Workers' Compensation documentation and assist with return-to-work processes.
- Provide basic first aid for minor workplace injuries when needed.
- Support safety initiatives including Lockout/Tagout, Hazard Communication, PPE, forklift safety, emergency preparedness, hearing conservation, and respiratory protection.
- Assist HR with employee engagement activities, safety programs, uniforms, and related administrative support.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in both English and Spanish
. - 5+ years of manufacturing safety or Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) experience preferred (minimum 3 years required).
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis
. - Experience leading employee safety training.
- Comfortable spending the majority of the workday on the production floor.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- OSHA 30 Certification
- CPR / First Aid Certification
- Experience maintaining OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 logs
- Experience conducting safety audits and inspections
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Forklift safety programs
- Safety committee leadership
- Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or a related field
- Enjoys being on the production floor—not sitting behind a desk.
- Builds trust with employees through coaching rather than policing.
- Takes ownership of workplace safety and follows through on corrective actions.
- Partners well with Operations and HR to solve problems collaboratively.
- Leads by example and isn't afraid to have difficult conversations when necessary.
- Is proactive, approachable, and genuinely cares about employee well-being.
- Can balance regulatory compliance with practical manufacturing operations.
This position combines office responsibilities with extensive time in an active manufacturing facility.
