Job Description
At Regions, the Senior Small Business Relationship Banker is responsible for meeting with customers and prospects both in person and on the phone to determine their financial needs, and meeting those needs by proactively offering appropriate products, services, and guidance to achieve their financial goals.
This role will provide services to all customers but will focus on small business customers with revenues up to $5MM—acquiring new customers and deepening existing relationships through checking acquisition, check cards, money movement, credit cards, merchant services, and lending.

- Achieve individual and branch targets and goals by proactively identifying customer needs and providing advanced level guidance and perspective about Regions’ solutions with a specific focus on small business customers.
- Conduct outbound phone calls using generated customer and prospect lead lists of small business and consumer customers to expand existing relationships and acquire new ones.
- Work in partnership with the Branch Manager to serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of small business customers with revenues up to $5MM.
- Educate and advise customers on Regions’ Consumer and Business products and services, including all loan and deposit types.
- Educate customers on emerging technology and digital solutions such as mobile, online, and ATM offerings, all designed to make banking easier.
- Provide a consistent optimal customer experience, sharing responsibility for day‑to‑day branch responsibilities including greeting customers and processing transactions to ensure customers bank when, where, and how they choose.
- Own and resolve customer issues.
- Refer customers to an internal team of experts when additional financial goals and needs are recognized.
- Support team development by serving as a subject matter expert for junior level bankers.
- Follow all bank processes and procedures, adhere to applicable laws and regulations, and manage, identify, and report operational risks.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Two (2) years of banking, sales, and/or customer service experience.
- Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions.
- Ability to communicate in person, on the phone, and through electronic channels.
- Ability to use a computer on a frequent basis, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor.
- Ability to work Saturdays as needed.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Adherence to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Assistance to customers with digital banking offerings.
- Handling multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Providing excellent customer service.
- Excellent relationship‑building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong business acumen to assess the needs of small business clients.
- Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.

Compensation DetailsPay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point‑of‑market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location, and most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
Job Range Target:
- Minimum: $49,397.26 USD
- Median: $57,693.50 USD
