Job DescriptionField‑based role; candidate should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city.
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in field, manage assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships, and solve customer needs to maximize short‑ and long‑term sales performance.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed respective goals.
- Create pre‑call plans and conduct post‑call evaluations to continuously improve performance; handle objections and misunderstandings to consistently secure calls to action.
- Proactively serve customer needs, expectations, and challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win‑win agreements between Abb Vie and customers.
- Develop and execute a call plan that meets call metrics and optimizes coverage/frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Build understanding of customer needs and expectations, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical and sales expertise; share intelligence with in‑field team, brand team, and sales manager.
- Differentiate Abb Vie’s value proposition with health providers; identify, develop, and maintain disease‑state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business‑related field preferred or equivalent industry experience required.
- At least five (5) years of experience with at least three (3) years within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry if no bachelor; high school diploma/GED required.
- Proven track record of leadership success and strong presentation skills; business acumen and proficient use of business tools.
- Ability to identify customer style/behavior and adapt quickly; effective in a matrix environment.
- Preferred: track record of success in sales performance within therapeutic areas.
- Preferred: experience in commercial pharmaceutical industry such as physician/account‑based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing.
- Preferred: in‑depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; recognized as an expert resource by stakeholders.
- Preferred:
English language proficiency, verbal and written. - Must satisfy all applicable HCIR credentialing requirements; be in good standing or eligible for credentials; responsible for ensuring compliance.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre‑employment drug screening; may drive personal auto, company vehicle, or powered material handling equipment.
- Compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay; may be modified in the future.
