Shop Technician III

Job Summary

The Shop Technician position supports the shop operations by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting vehicle deficiencies; making adjustments and alignments; and effectively keeping records.

$30-40/hr

Monday – Friday: 8AM-5PM

• Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifies worn and damaged parts.
• Maintains the availability of equipment for use by completing preventative maintenance schedules, installing component and part upgrades, controlling corrosion, and completing winterization procedures.
• Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts and/or systems such as power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emissions, brake, steering, and hydraulics.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Field‑related Associate’s or Technical School degree preferred.
• 3–5+ years minimum experience with truck/diesel maintenance and preventative maintenance preferred.
