Labor Finders is seeking a welder to assemble, repair, and join metal components using specialized welding techniques and equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements and measurements
  • Measuring and cutting metal components using hand tools, plasma cutters, or metal cutting machines
  • Performing various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, Stick, and arc welding to join metals
  • Setting up, maintaining, and operating welding equipment safely and efficiently
  • Inspecting and testing welds to ensure compliance with design, safety, and structural standards
  • Applying knowledge of metallurgy and material properties to select appropriate welding methods
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment and following all health and safety protocols
Work Environment

Welders work in manufacturing, construction, shipyards, and fabrication shops, often exposed to high heat, loud noises, and outdoor conditions. Some positions may require working in confined spaces, at heights, or in physically demanding conditions. Physical proximity to coworkers can vary from somewhat close to very close depending on the project.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education
    :
    High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in welding is preferred
  • Certifications
    :
    Professional credentials from recognized organizations such as the American Welding Society (AWS), including Certified Welder (CW), are often required
  • Experience
    :
    Hands‑on experience through apprenticeships or previous welding jobs is highly valued
  • Safety Knowledge
    :
    Understanding safety protocols and possession of safety certifications, such as OSHA training, is advantageous
  • Technical Skills
    :
    Proficiency in different welding techniques, ability to read blueprints, and knowledge of metal properties.
  • Physical Abilities
    :
    Steady hand, good vision, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
