Developmental Technician, Refrigeration​/HVAC Maintenance

We are seeking a Developmental Technician specializing in Refrigeration and HVAC Maintenance to work at our local retail store. The role involves executing routine maintenance tasks, conducting inspections, and responding to emergency maintenance calls under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager.

• Assisted or performed primary responsibilities under the direct supervision of an experienced technician.
• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, and food equipment.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders, support stores and associates, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.

• 18 years or older and a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time, move up and down ladders frequently, work at heights frequently, work in various temperatures, and sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Hold a valid, state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
• Type I and Type II Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.

• Mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field experience for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.

• Hourly wage range $16.00–$28.00 plus possible additional premiums up to $3.00 per hour.
