Work Location & Schedule

2195 Centennial Drive, Gainesville, GA 30504

Sun–Thu: 6:30 am – 3:00 pm

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
  • Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
  • Perform preventative maintenance—such as tire replacement/rotation, component lubrication, electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engines.
  • Partner with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching.
  • Work on additional projects and tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Problem‑solving ability and comfort using tools.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Understand and comply with Penske management instructions, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
  • Adhere to DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies, including proper tool selection and PPE use.
  • Reliable, predictable, full attendance is essential.
  • Must maintain a current driver qualification file (including annual MVR check, DOT Physical, safety performance history). CDL holders must complete a DOT drug screening within 30 days of start and meet FMCSA clearinghouse requirements.
  • Willingness to work the required schedule, location, complete background screening, pass a drug screen and physical, and accept potential regional travel for training.
Physical Requirements
  • Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods.
  • Use hands on a routine basis to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, or operate tools or controls.
  • Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms.
  • Work in all weather conditions.
  • See and hear to navigate a work environment with frequent traffic of large trucks.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs (45 kg). Push/Pull truck tires that exceed 100 lbs.
