Sun–Thu: 6:30 am – 3:00 pm
Main Responsibilities- Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
- Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
- Perform preventative maintenance—such as tire replacement/rotation, component lubrication, electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engines.
- Partner with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching.
- Work on additional projects and tasks as assigned by supervisors.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Problem‑solving ability and comfort using tools.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
- Basic computer skills.
- Understand and comply with Penske management instructions, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
- Adhere to DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies, including proper tool selection and PPE use.
- Reliable, predictable, full attendance is essential.
- Must maintain a current driver qualification file (including annual MVR check, DOT Physical, safety performance history). CDL holders must complete a DOT drug screening within 30 days of start and meet FMCSA clearinghouse requirements.
- Willingness to work the required schedule, location, complete background screening, pass a drug screen and physical, and accept potential regional travel for training.
- Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods.
- Use hands on a routine basis to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, or operate tools or controls.
- Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms.
- Work in all weather conditions.
- See and hear to navigate a work environment with frequent traffic of large trucks.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs (45 kg). Push/Pull truck tires that exceed 100 lbs.
