Foreman

The Foreman will oversee, direct, and manage industrial electrical service projects from beginning to end. The Foreman will present in a professional manner, build long-term customer relationships, and lead field crews performing industrial electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, installations, shutdowns, startups, and commissioning while consistently delivering safe, high-quality solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review project scope including work type, materials, schedules, manpower requirements, and project duration.
  • Lead industrial electrical service crew while promoting a culture of safety, quality, and accountability.
  • Interact with clients and maintain exceptional customer satisfaction through professional communication and technical expertise.
  • Coordinate with Project Management, and Service leadership to ensure successful project execution and long-term customer relationships.
  • Troubleshoot industrial electrical systems including 2-wire/3-wire motor control circuits, MCCs, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, process controls, and Mechanical production equipment Issues
  • Interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, control schematics, and P&IDs.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance, planned shutdowns, emergency service calls, equipment startups, and commissioning activities.
  • Identify project issues, document field conditions with photographs and written reports, and communicate change order opportunities.
  • Mentor electricians and apprentices while ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, company safety policies, and customer requirements.
  • Provide regular updates to the Project Managers regarding manpower, schedule, and project status.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (typically one week per month) and respond to emergency service requests as required.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays when required to support customer operations and emergency service needs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required

Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum five (5) years of electrical field installation experience in commercial and/or industrial environments.
  • Strong industrial electrical background with experience in 2-wire/3-wire motor control circuits, MCCs, VFDs, conduit systems, and large cable pulls.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, PLC's, HMI's, industrial automation, process controls, instrumentation, and production equipment support.
  • Experienced leading crews on industrial projects, interpreting electrical drawings and P&IDs, managing shutdowns, startups, preventive maintenance, and job-site safety.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to self-manage, prioritize, and work with a sense of urgency.
  • First Aid/CPR preferred.
  • Willing to perform hands-on field work utilizing hand and power tools when needed.

Education:

  • Associate's degree or technical degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent work experience.

The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
