Environmental and Working ConditionsBus drivers spend most of their workday behind the wheel, primarily within the confines of the bus itself, but also navigating outdoor environments for loading and assisting passengers. Drivers are exposed to fumes, dust, odors, oil/grease, and seasonal weather changes. Noise and vibration: the bus environment can be noisy, and drivers are subjected to constant vibrations throughout the day. Time constraints and schedules: drivers face constant pressure to adhere to strict schedules and deadlines.
Good vision and hearing are essential for safely operating a bus.
